How high is your dance body count?😉 Learn a social dance built for meeting people! Country Two-Step isn’t about perfection—it’s about connection. Dance with more people, feel more confident, enjoy the night! ⬇️ WORKSHOP INFO ⬇️ 🌟 INTRO WORKSHOP 🌟 Never partner danced before? Start here! You’ll learn the basics of two step, inside/outside turns, and everything you need to know to start having fun on the social dance floor! More experienced dancer? Try taking this workshop to learn the other role! E.g. if you normally follow, try learning to lead! ▶ PRE-REQ’S: None! 🌟 BEGINNER+ WORKSHOP 🌟 Now that you know the basics... How can we have *more* fun without getting too complicated? In this workshop you’ll learn the secret system of non-verbal cues that will make your dancing clearer, easier, and make people want to dance with you again! ▶ PRE-REQ’S: Basic step, inside/outside turns 🌟 INTERMEDIATE WORKSHOP 🌟 Let's get fun and fancy! We'll teach and break down a leadable combo that you can add to your repertoire for social dancing! ▶ PRE-REQ’S: Basic step, inside/outside turns, comfortable with side by side positions like Sweetheart, Cuddle, & Skater. ❓ FAQ ❓ •Do I need to wear any specific footwear? Nope! Wear whatever you are comfortable in (but it can be helpful to have shoes with a slippery sole like leather soled cowboy boots) •Is there parking? There is a lot behind the venue as well as street parking (DO NOT PARK IN THE CVS LOT!) •Is there water on site? Yes! Bring a water bottle to fill up. •Do I have to bring a partner? No! You are welcome to but it is not necessary. The best way to get better is to dance with a lot of different people, so we’ll be switching partners frequently throughout the workshop. •If I bring a partner, do we have to switch during the class? I guess if you insist?? But we *strongly* recommend that you try dancing with other people for at least part of the class to get a feel for different people’s dance styles! •Can I lead/follow if I am [gender]? It’s 2026 so there’s no need for unnecessary gender roles! Anyone can lead and anyone can follow. In fact, we recommend you learn both at some point!
 •Do I have to decide beforehand if I want to lead or follow? Nope! You can decide in the moment (though we ask that you stay in on role for the entire class. But feel free to switch to another role in another class if you’re taking multiple!) 🤠 ABOUT US 🤠 Scott (@scottgelz, the tall one) has been country two stepping for over 15 years. Corey (@coreylubo, the… not tall one) is newer to partner dance, but has been a director/choreographer for musical theatre for over 15 years. Both of us love partner dancing and are super passionate about spreading that love to more people. Because the more people you dance with, the better dancer you become (and the more fun it is!) 🙏 Also blanket invite: if you see us out in the wild, please ask us to dance! We would love to!
